The truth behind autotuning

I'm not the only one to believe that people like the Black Eyed Peas or Rebecca Black are cyborgs that never malfunctioned until recently, because if the Dirty Dancing remake uses the BEP's autotuned cover of the The Time of My Life, then that would be even bigger butchery than you'd expect. But why do people do it? It's annoying! No wonder why most modern music is crap. And speaking of which, I better continue work on a picture about the even bigger cliche of music today...
