'Obese' stamp by Maxtaro 'Obese' stamp by Maxtaro
I really don't like it when people misuse the term "obese", treating it positively on any size. Saying "obese and happy" just doesn't make sense because it isn't generous, it's medical. You may have gotten this message from an earlier deviation of mine, but sometimes, stamps are the best way to express yourself of course! You want more? Take it from George Carlin. [link]

I'm deemed obese by pretty much everyone who sees me, of course including my doctor....when you think obese, you think of a giant 400 pound person...I'm 158 ._.
For 5'3", my doc considers it obese...I am fat, but not the general obese people think of....yet I'm still hated and bashed just as badly

It's like no one here actually knows the definition of obesity.
Obesity is simply a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or greater. It's not a "curse word," it doesn't just mean fat. Technically really muscular people are obese because of the weight of muscle. Whether or not it's a "bad word" is based on how people treat it.

Obesity - Overly fat, to the point that you can barely move and its REALLY cutting into your health BIG TIME.

Fat - Like me. Chunky, but still moving, happy, and still retaining health.

LEARN THE DIFFRENCE, PEOPLE.

Actually, you are wrong. Obese, as said here, is a medical term. It means having a BMI above or equal to 30. You may very well be classified as obese while being "chunky".

Fat is not a medical term. Same as chunky.

Just clarifying. ;)

This is actually quite a useful stamp. People who call fatties "obese" has not ever watched a commercial about obesity. What the heck, people?
